In New York, 28 percent, or 311, of the driving-related fatalities last year were influenced by alcohol, according to the federal report. The was virtually unchanged from the 312 alcohol-related traffic deaths in 2014.

In every State, it’s illegal to drive with a BAC of .08 or higher, yet one person was killed in a drunk-driving crash every 50 minutes in the United States in 2016.

“Another fatal early morning crash has taken the life of an innocent passenger.” said Paul Ajlouny, New York Car Crash Attorney. “No matter how many stories, messages, movements are out there — here we see another person getting behind the wheel and driving drunk. It’s seems to be not as simple as don’t drink and drive; someone is dead.” says Mr. Ajlouny.

NYPD officer injured while riding hood of cruiser

NYPD Officer Horsing Around

An NYPD officer is seen in this video riding the hood of a police cruiser in Brooklyn this Monday morning.

The incident, happened early morning near the intersection of Parkville Avenue and Seton Place in the Kensington section, near the 70th Precinct station house.

The officer, who was conscious and alert at the scene, was taken to Lutheran Medical Center with a head injury and is listed in stable condition.

How in the world did this happen? Word of advice to the NYPD officer that was horsing around…

Probably not a good idea to ride the hood of a car especially if your an officer of the law. Does “roll model” mean anything to you?

The investigation is ongoing.
