Bronx 4 Car Crash

1 man killed and six others were injured in a four car accident in the Bronx early Sunday morning, according to NYPD.

Reports indicates a 54-year-old man, William Hay, was speeding near West 228th Street and Marble Hill Avenue, when he tried to drive between a car stopped at a red light and another parked vehicle around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.

Mr. Hay hit both cars, causing a collision with another car.

Hay was pronounced dead at the scene. Six others were transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

A serious car accident happened right outside News 12 The Bronx’s studios which sent 11 people to the hospital, including at least three children.

The crash happened at the corner of Soundview and Story avenues.

An SUV collided with a livery cab full of passengers. Witnesses say that emergency crews arrived almost immediately and the victims were loaded onto stretchers.

HE BRONX — A two-car accident in The Bronx left a 70-year-old woman dead and a male driver in critical condition.

The woman was pronounced dead at Jacobi Medical Center, where all four victims were taken, officials said.

A 76-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was brought to hospital in stable condition.

The vehicle was traveling south on Bronxwood Avenue around 9:30 p.m. and struck a northbound vehicle that was attempting a left hand turn onto Williamsbridge Road.

I’m just wander if we really need to consider age when it comes to fatal car accidents. One of the complaints in this article was the lack of a traffic light at the corner.
