Only two motorists were charged for causing a death. There is a current outcry in New York City streets that NYPD should hold these drivers responsible for their negligence. Many feel that the NYPD has been laying blame on the cyclist victims killed in these accidents.
Far too many cyclists and pedestrians in NYC have been prematurely blamed for their own deaths. However with the number of deaths just in the beginning of this year it’s clear that the streets of New York have a problem keeping cyclists and pedestrians safe.
