Commuter train slams into train terminal in New Jersey; 100+ injured.
Breaking – Emergency response search and rescue crews on scene, 100 plus casualties amid a chaos in Hoboken, N.J., where a commuter train crashes into the terminal building.
This horrific train accident happened early this morning during rush hour. Witnesses reported that the train did not slow down as it headed straight the terminal building. It’s been reported through several media outlets at least three people have been killed, with over 100 injured some still trapped after a train slammed into a busy station in Hoboken, N.J., during the Thursday morning commute.
According to New Jersey Transit, many of the injured have been reported to be in critical condition. Patients have been transported to Hoboken University Hospital by ambulance.
Witnesses said the train never slowed down, crashing through barriers into the terminal’s reception area. Photos will show major structural damage to the Hoboken terminal, including a crumbled wall and mangled beams.
One witness reports that the train hit a concrete block with such force that it actually went airborne hitting the terminal roof.
