25 injured in crash involving MTA bus in E. Flatbush
A BMW heading southbound on Utica Ave. struck a Nissan Altima coming out of a parking lot in East Flatbush. The impact knocked the BMW into the path of a B46 bus. It has been reported that four people are listed in critical condition and more than 20 were treated for injuries.
The entire front end of the BMW crumpled in the crash with the driver’s side corner of the bus. Four men in the BMW were rushed to Kings County Hospital, where three were listed in critical condition. A woman in the Nissan Altima was also taken to Kings County Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The bus driver was also hospitalized with minor injuries.
“It’s obvious that the driver of the BMW was speeding just from the catastrophic chain reaction of this accident.” says Paul Ajlouny, New York Car Accident Lawyer. “It is a jungle out there on New York City streets even with the implementation of the new 25mph speed limit. No one should feel too safe. In the last 4 years there have been 4 traffic fatalities.
On July 9, 2014, a 22-year-old man was killed after a collision between a BMW and a garbage truck in East Flatbush.
