Huntington Station construction accident

Fire officials say a construction accident at a private home in Huntington Station left one worker dead.

According to officials, work was being done at 1 Crabapple Court. They say one of the workers was trapped after a portion of a retaining wall collapsed.

Fire officials say the unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s also reported that the dead man may not have been licensed, and the town says no permits for the work were applied for or issued.

A sad day for all involved.

Personal Injury Lawyer, Paul Ajlouny, comments to this sad tragedy, “Homeowners trying to save money by hiring an unlicensed contractor can be held liable for any injury that occurs on the property, whether or not the homeowner knew the contractor was not licensed.

Homeowners need to know that hiring a contractor that works for a company to work on their home holds the company responsible for any injury that occurs.”
