Pedestrian killed by hit and run driver – Memorial Art
Luis Bravo was killed by a hit and run driver in Woodside, Queens, last year. Police have not found the driver. The number of you children and teens and killed by vehicles in New York City streets has almost doubled between 2011 and 2013.
Luis Bravo, a young man and a friend, 18 and 19, were walking on east on Broadway in Woodside when he was hit by the driver of a dark-colored sedan, that was traveling south on 58th Street.
Luis was the fifth New York City pedestrian within a two weeks period time frame to be killed by a driver that fled the scene. In three of the five crashes, the driver was caught.
They never did apprehend the driver that struck Luis.
The hit and run fatal crash happened at 108th Precinct, where four other pedestrians have been killed by reckless drivers in 2013.
